DRESSAGE

MARATHON

Veterinary/Health Requirements: Negative Coggins within 1 year of show date

Stabling Information: Tent stalls with doors

Misc. Show info: If less than 5 VSE entries, VSE entries will be incorporated in the normal divisions and VSE dressage will be held in the 40m x 80m arena. 5 or more VSE entries, then the class will be separate and dressage for VSEs will be in the 20m x 40m arena.
Competitors Welcome party Friday evening following course walk and Awards Luncheon courtesy of Georgia Carriage Driving Association.
Course walk Friday afternoon around 3 pm. ATVs, bicycles, golf carts, vehicles allowed. No golfcart rentals available.

Beginner and novice drivers: The GOHDT Mentor program will be available! Please let organizer know with entry and you'll be paired with an experienced driver to allow you to get information and questions answered! Experienced drivers - if you are interested in being a mentor, please let organizer know with entry.

Driver/Groom twice around allowed on marathon? (Article 910) Yes; Entry requirements: prior coordination with organizor. Prefer multiple entries to be in different divisions or classes for scheduling. If two entries are in the same class, second entry must go HC. If in different divisions, both may compete.

Awards Offered: Ribbons to Sixth place.

Food Available on the Grounds: Friday dinner and Sunday lunch provided by the GCDA. Saturday lunch is catered. Restaurants are close to hotels.

Accommodations: Hotels are at the I-85/Bullsboro Dr area. Holiday Inn Express (770) 251-2828; La Quinta Inn (770) 502-8430; Comfort Inn (770) 502-8688. Others available.

Camping on Grounds: Yes, Limited space is available for self-contained camping. No hook-ups/dump available. Fee is $20 per night, and reservations are required.

Directions to Show: From I-85S, take Exit 47 Bullsboro/GA-34. Proceed West on Bullsboro. Turn right at GA-34-BYP/Millard Farmer Industrial Blvd. Continue approximately 5.5 miles. Welcome Rd is on the left on a long sweeping left turn - watch for it! Turn left on Welcome Rd. Left at the stop sign - rhis keeps you on Welcome Rd. Go approx 4 miles to Mt Carmel Rd on right. Right on Mt Carmel. Show ground is on left about 2 miles. Detailed map will arrive wirh competitor welcome package.
