Who's Zoomin Who (Gus)

Since our initial involvement, we have primarily shown single horses but from 1988 til 1995 we competed a pair of Morgans, one of them being GUS or his real name, Who's Zoomin Who. Gus was brought out in 1995 as a ‘Single' and the rest is as we call it is history. Gus was outstanding, and as soon as T J learned the best way to drive him, they were a great team. Their goal was a spot on the first USA Singles Team; to be chosen by USET to represent the USA in the First FEI World Singles Championship in Ebbs, Austria in June 1998. Son Chris was a favorite navigator, and is now driving Gus himself. A long trip began for Gus, TJ ,Charlene and John Whitmire. But ultimately successful as the group came back with a Team Silver Medal and a 7th place for Gus and TJ as the highest placed US team member!

Competitions
Gus did his first Advanced Single at Fair Hill in ’95. 1996 was our second place year as we were behind Mark Schofield and his Gelderlander at Live Oak, Yellowframe and Fair Hill! I997 was better for TJ and Gus with a 2nd at Live Oak and then the Blue at Yellowframe. At Festival a hard earned 3rd followed in June. It was a 2nd at Laurels followed by a great 1st at Fair Hill and the AHSA Single Horse Championship. 1998 started with a Blue at Live Oak and then selection to the USA Singles Team at the Yellowframe CDE and the trip to Ebbs, Austria with Randy McFarland and Kelly Valdes.

1999 was not a great year with a vet problem at Live Oak and then a 5th at Yellowframe and out of top six at Festival and Gladstone with a course reirement at Laurels.

2000 was better: Yellowframe-5th, Ga. Int-3rd, Can-Am-5th, Festival-3rd, and a selection to the 2000 US Singles Team after finishing 9th at Laurels! Unfortunately that event scheduled for Gladstone in October was canceled.
